Hi, I'm Unsilenced.

If you want to know what I look like, I'm afraid you'll have to do with this avatar, as I won't post a photo. But don't worry, you aren't missing out on much.

What is this blog about?

Issues, topics, stuff that I and hopefully the readers care about and want to talk about. It's aim is to create a space to "talk it out" - discuss, debate, argue, comment, laugh, express yourself. The internet is a space where self-expression can take whatever form we want it to take. My specific interests include politics, womens issues, law, society and the like. Because I'm in Australia, chances are a fair few posts may have an Australian focus to them.

If you have a topic you'd like to put up for discussion - please make a suggestion, submit a post or post a comment so we can all talk it out. I've put together a few guidelines for commenting and contributing, which will hopefully prevent talking from degenerating into anarchy (fun though that may be), so please check those prior to commenting or contributing.
